2006 Wake County School Bond
- $1.056 BILLION Capital Improvement Program - On November 7, Wake County voters decided to invest in a $1.056 Billion capital improvement program of which $970,000,000 is funded by a school bond that will provide for thousands of additional children moving into Wake County schools by 2010 and for much needed renovation of existing facilities. 2003 Wake County School Bond
- 2003 Wake County School Bond PASSED for $450,000,000 - The Wake County School System proposed a $450 million bond referendum that would allow for 13 new schools, 16 renovations and 61 repair projects to be completed by 2008.

2000 Wake County School Bond
- 2000 Wake County School Bond PASSED for $550,000,000 - November 7, 2000 - Wake County voters pledged $550,000,000 to the Wake County Public School System. With $500 million in school bonds and $50 million in pay-as-you-go funds, WCPSS will build 14 new schools and renovate 96 existing schools. In addition, by eliminating 100 mobile units, 91 percent of students will be in permanent classroom seats by the end of PLAN 2000. Wake County Schools are preparing to implement the plan that will address the tremendous needs facing the school system - a system that will house more than 112,000 students in four years.

1999 Wake County School Bond
- The Wake County Board of Commissioners and the Wake County School Board of Education jointly announced the formation of a citizens advisory committee. Its charge was to study school needs, recommend an acceptable capital spending plan and make recommendations as it felt appropriate..
- June 21, 1999 the Wake County Board of Commissioners approved a 10-cent increase in the 63-cent property tax rate, per $100 property value. Eight cents of that money went towards school construction, and the remaining two cents towards operating costs. This generated approximately $67 million between 1999-2001. With the addition of the 1996 state bond program, totaling $123,297,205, this five-year period (1997-2002) received a total of $617,684,221 in funding.
